On 20th March 2013, the FDI World Dental Federation launched the first World Oral Health Day to raise oral health and disease awareness. Every year since then, it features campaigns by National Dental Associations from over 130 countries to encourage governments, health associations, and the general public to work together to improve oral hygiene standards.
