Possible Reasons for White Spots on the Teeth
One of the possible causes of white spots on the teeth is fluorosis. This usually happens to people when they ingest too much fluoride while the teeth are still forming. So, toothpastes that are high in fluoride are generally not a good idea for children or those who are developing their adult teeth.
Another issue is enamel hypoplasia. This is usually the result of nutritional deficiencies and can also come along with those who have high fevers.
This is because, due to nutritional deficiencies, the "white" areas of the enamel have fewer minerals and therefore their chances of suffering from tooth decay are much higher. Of course, this is also another problem which is known as demineralization and can occur.
Dental bleaching is another issue that can end up causing these white spots to appear on your teeth. If you have had your teeth bleached recently then this is usually nothing major to worry about.
