Are You a Good Tooth Fairy or Not?

Posted on 3/9/2020 by Office
Are You a Good Tooth Fairy or Not?Oh, we all remember that thrill of being children and knowing that the tooth fairy would soon be paying us a visit and leaving something special under our pillow. It almost made the anxiety and pain of the actual pulling process (unless it fell out on its own) worth it.

We would put our little lost baby tooth under the pillow and wake up the next morning to some type of surprise, for many people something in the form of money, and still for others maybe a little toy or some other fun gadget. But what exactly makes a good tooth fairy? Well, we have a few thoughts on the subject, and we'd like to share them with our readers.

It's Not About the Money
While it might make us feel good to see the excitement in our child's eye over that fresh, crisp bill they found under their pillow, this isn't Christmas. This is actually a great time to start discussing how important oral health is and how this tooth that they lost was supposed to fall out, but the new ones are supposed to last from now on.

Taking an Active Role in Your Child's Oral Care

There are numerous ways that you can help to make your child's daily brushing and oral cleaning routine fun. The less it feels like a chore from their youth, the more likely they are to continue those healthy habits into their later years.

To learn more about how you can better educate your child on the importance of proper dental care into their adult years, simply stop on by our clinic and talk with one of our knowledgeable team members. You can also reach us by phone if you can't make it by in person.
