How To Use Invisalign Cleaning Crystals

Posted on 8/7/2023 by Evan
How To Use Invisalign Cleaning CrystalsWhen you use Invisalign as part of your treatment plan for tooth alignment, you need to wear them at least twenty-two hours a day for effectiveness. This may lead to the build-up of plaque from leftover food debris. Clean them once or twice a day using Invisalign cleaning crystals. These crystals are clinically tested and proven to work well with Invisalign and retainers with no side effects.

How the Crystals Are Used

Remove your aligners and wash them with warm water to remove food debris. Put warm water in a glass or a container with a lid. Add the cleaning crystal from a single packet to the warm water and stir to dissolve. If you are using a container with a lid, close it and shake it after adding warm water and crystals. Remember the glass or container has to be full enough for you to submerge both top and bottom aligners. Do this for fifteen to thirty minutes.

After soaking them remove them and rinse with warm running water. You can use a soft-bristled brush to clean off any remaining plaque and rinse with warm running water again. Store them in a case when not using them to keep them safe and free from bacteria.

Why it is Good To Use Them

The cleaning crystals are designed for the sole purpose of cleaning Invisalign aligners. The ingredients used to make it are specially formulated to kill germs and bacteria and keep the aligners hygienically safe for use.

For great oral hygiene, you should brush and floss your teeth twice a day before putting on Invisalign. If you do not brush well and stick to cleaning aligners alone then you will be wasting your effort.
